A gorgeous piece of art for serving or display—solid blocks of wood are sourced from fallen trees in Western Massachusetts and hand-turned on a lathe, making each bowl totally unique. Ambrosia maple is prized for its beautiful and distinctive coloration, caused by the ambrosia beetle. The bowls are oiled and coated in a food-safe beeswax to protect them from drying out. Available in three sizes; the 9" and 11" are great for side dishes, and the 13" is the perfect salad bowl.
Spencer Peterman has been hand-turning wooden bowls in his workshop in Gill, Massachusetts since 2000. Each bowl is signed by the artist.
