Afternoon Decaf is Canyon's answer to those who want a delicious, full-flavor cup of coffee without the caffeine.
The beans were grown at an altitude of 1650-2100 meters by AGPROCEM (Asociación de Agricltores y Productores de Café Especial de Montalvo). AGPROCEM is a small farmer’s association formed in 2013, now comprised of 58 members in Vereda Montalvo, Planadas, South Tolima. In the past five years, Planadas has begun to emerge from a long history of violence as a region with high potential for quality coffee and a strong commitment to environmental sustainability.
Swiss Water® Process uses the elements of water, temperature and time to create some of the most intriguing and flavorful decaf coffee. They start with small batches of quality coffee and green coffee extract. Then they add local Vancouver, B.C. water, and with careful attention monitoring time and temperature, they phase out the caffeinated water through osmosis until the coffee is 99.9% caffeine free.
