Many people want to eat more seafood, but knowing how to buy it and prepare it can seem daunting. We hope to demystify that process with this workshop, which will go through some of the most common skills needed for seafood preparation.
We’ll start with how to shuck an oyster, and everyone will take home their own Opinel oyster knife to keep practicing at home. Then we’ll go over all aspects of fish preparation, from what to look for at the fish market, to how to scale and fillet a fish, as well as techniques to make ceviche and sashimi at home. Finally, we’ll demonstrate how to perfectly grill fish over an open fire.
Everyone will get to enjoy the tastes of what we're preparing as we go through the workshop, as well as some light refreshments.
