As an expression of mottainai, the craftsmen of Tosa Ryu gather hinoki shavings into rice paper satchels to create an aromatic tea for the bath. Hinoki is prized in Japan for its lovely pine fragrance, as well as its anti-microbial and mold-resistant qualities. Each pack contains two satchels, which can each be dried and reused multiple times.
Based in the mountains of Kochi, Japan, Tosa Ryu have been handcrafting pieces for the home from local hinoki wood since 1960.
