A gorgeous piece of art for serving or display—solid blocks of wood are sourced from fallen trees in Western Massachusetts and hand-turned on a lathe, making each bowl totally unique. The ebonized finish is created naturally with tannins and then the bowl is oiled and coated in a food-safe beeswax to protect it from drying out.
Spencer Peterman has been hand-turning wooden bowls in his workshop in Gill, Massachusetts since 2000. Each bowl is signed by the artist.
