Wild Clay Sake Cups

Regular price $36

Made by hand using the pinching method, which makes for an organic shape and subtle surface indentations, these small cups are perfect for sipping sake, mezcal, tea, and more. With a beautiful glossy glaze of cream and sage green, each cup is completely one of a kind. Made entirely by hand from clay and glaze ingredients foraged in the Sierra foothills, they make a beautiful and unique gift.

From his background as a chef, Matt Fishman brings similar values of handcraft and locally sourced ingredients to his pottery practice. All of his work is created with wild clay and glazes that he forages from clay, stone, and plant ash locally in the Sierra Nevada and Bay Area. With the earthy, rustic feel of his ceramics, he seeks to create a unique record of the geology of Northern California.
