Wide and deep, a perfect large serving bowl for salads or large sides at a dinner party. Made from a blend of stoneware and porcelain, with a speckled white glaze inside that swirls and drips over the outside edge, each piece is totally unique.
Whiskey & Clay is a small-batch handmade pottery studio in Santa Fe, NM, by Kimmy Rohrs. Inspired by her high and low desert homes in Santa Fe and Terlingua, TX, each piece is wheel thrown, glazed with food-safe high-fire glazes, and fired in a heavy reduction gas kiln to over 2300 degrees.
As with any handmade item, variation is natural and to be celebrated. The glaze can vary from a crystallized opal to a golden tone, while the raw clay can vary from sand to a more oxidized rust coloring.
