The traditional vessel for mixing and serving sushi rice in Japan, hangiri are handmade from hinoki, Japanese cypress, and bound with solid copper bands that will patina beautifully with age. Available in 2 sizes: small is good for a couple or small family, while the large is big enough for a party. It's the perfect statement piece for the sushi lover, and a beautiful serving platform for a variety of dishes.

Small - 8 3/4" diameter, 4 1/2" tall, holds approx. 3 go of rice (photos coming soon)
Large - 18" diameter, 4 1/2" tall, holds approx. 10 go of rice (pictured)
Hand wash only with mild soap, do not soak
Sushi rice recipe :
2 gō (3/4 US cup) Japanese rice, cooked
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
Mix the vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small saucepan over low heat until dissolved. Add the mixture to the cooked rice and stir well to incorporate.
