A simple brass snuffer and wick trimmer for candles, designed in the Japanese style and particularly suited to Japanese candles. Pinch the ends together to snuff out a burning candle, or gently pull while the candle is burning to remove excess wick.
For more than two centuries, the Omori Warosoku Workshop has been dedicated to upholding the time-honored art of candlemaking using local wax harvested from the sumac tree. Nestled in the tranquil mountain village of Uchiko, Japan, Ryotaro Omori, the seventh-generation master craftsman, carries forward this legacy as the last remaining traditional candlemaker in Uchiko.
